YESTERDAY (Inspired by 'Love Story')
Seems like only yesterday that I left home
Feels like only yesterday, these streets I used to roam
How did time fly, pass me by, Ill never know
Years gone now, Im still standing, waiting to grow
Memories of you, from childhood days, still remain
Daunting me, still haunting me, brings back the pain
Seems like only yesterday, I saw you, standing in the rain
Still can feel that moment's pulse, again and again
Tried to disperse, all these thoughts, into fields new
Hoped if I could forget myself, Ill forget them too
But everyday I wake up, flashes keep coming back
How many yesterdays, I have endured, Ive,since long, lost track
A part of me, these memories are,and I cant let go
Though restricted to them, Through them alone, you I now know.
Seems like only yesterday, you whispered goodbye
Will seem like yesterday, I guess, even on the day I die.

Nothing more nostalgic than love.
nothing lovelier than nostalgia.
Shatter more keys!
Good, nostalgia is good.
Past sweet memories are good for the soul. As long as they do not stop you from looking at brighter tomorrows. Your tomorrows will be much sweeter than your yesterdays...

Love the line, "How many yesterdays, I have endured, Ive,since long, lost track"
Cannot think of a better word than 'nostalgia'. The tune that came to my mind while I was reading this post was the stunningly crafted chords of "Nee paartha paarvaiku oru nandri..", from Hey Ram.
